We will be firing up our reproduction 1840’s sugar mill for the 30th Annual Kent House Sugar Day! There will be live music, house tours, plenty of demonstrations including blacksmithing and corn grinding, vendors selling handmade arts & crafts items, and plenty of children’s activities!
The annual Tales Along the Bayou, presented by the Rapides Parish Library, will be held on Oct. 27th, 2023 from 6-8:30pm on the Kent Plantation House lawn. Come in costume, bring a chair/blanket, and bite to eat and enjoy some Halloween stories! Additional food will be available for purchase!
This year’s Fall Herb Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In addition to our quality herbs, vendors selling both handmade and garden related items will also be featured. Vendors selling any form of art, crafts, and /or gardening supplies are welcome.

All rides are lead & followed by assistance vehicles and there are plenty of SAG stops along all routes. Live entertainment, food, fun & southern hospitality!

We're honored to be partnering with the U.S. Forest Service - Kisatchie National Forest for this great event!
The young ladies will complete numerous art projects, attend and host authentic tea parties, learn social etiquette, journal, play games and the pastimes of Jane Austen's era. They will learn to set and serve a proper table and tour the Kent House.

This year’s Spring Herb Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In addition to our quality herbs, vendors selling both handmade and garden related items will also be featured. And don't forget to visit our indoor yard sale.
Kent House kicked off Black History Month Saturday, February 4, 2023. Come see our newly dedicated Enslaved Persons Memorial and view a Regional painting exhibit by Ransom Rambo. This event is free and open to the public.
Come and enjoy crafts, music, refreshments, and visit with Papa Noel while helping decorate the Kent House Christmas Tree at the Kent House's annual Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration! Saturday, December 3 from 4 PM to 6 PM inside the Kent House Visitors Center.
